Mmm. Beads.

Kinja'd!!!

Nobody scribbles out their license plate like I scribble out my license plate.

Kinja'd!!!

All dried off.

Those scratches and chips have never looked so nice and shiny. Drying it off is a great excuse to just drive around. Man, this thing sounds great. And I like the color more with every passing day.

Bonus Mercury Tracer for your time.

Tracer wagon? Nice, my dad had the hatchback years ago. Didn’t know they made a wagon of it.

I have prolly asked before, but what year is it? I used to own a white ‘91 2 door. Had some super comfy seats.

‘91 here too! And the seats are fantastic. Everyone who gets in it notices. My dad loves them. They’re definitely better than the ones in my parents’ ‘04 Town and Country. They’re really hard and narrow and it’s the only part of that van I really don’t like.

They did. I believe this one’s a ‘98. As far as I’m concerned, that’s its only redeeming quality. Besides the nicely revvy, but basically gutless engine.

I love the colour, and it’s so clean for its year. The only ones i’ve seen in person of this are usually rust buckets. Kudos for taking care of it. This ‘91 Gran Prix is in better condition exterior wise than my ‘06 Civic.

How is that Pontiac not a rusted out pile of crap by now? I never see those in that good of condition around here.

I swear to God, I’d never seen another one until I bought this, then noticed about two others in my town. One’s blue and one’s red, both are newer and nicer than this but the same generation. You can only tell because the newer SEs got the cool body kit from the GTP, I’m assuming.

Hard to imagine, but Pontiac was a pretty sporty brand back in it’s heyday.

Honestly, the care was kinda down the the previous owner(s). I’ve only had this one since February. I believe the guy I bought it from got it from his friend’s mother, who was one of those people who maintain it religiously and doesn’t drive fast. I do that last one a lot.

I can believe it. The GTO is awesome (new and old) and I really like the Fiero. I’ve also heard the Solstice isn’t that bad.

Awesome! I dig it. Aren’t they though? I got mine back in 2001 when I was in high school. I loved how comfortable it was. The seats in most cars nowadays just don’t compare to those in the late 80's to early 90's. Even my current car doesn’t have that same level of comfort.

Completely agreed. The nicest car seats I’ve ever been in was a 1990 Oldsmobile 98, #2 is probably my friend’s Chevy Corsica (weird, but those seats are so soft and everything else kinda sucks) and this is a close third.

Around here it’s every-other weed dealers rustbucket on 4 wheels. Most of them here are white.

Normally I prefer white cars, but I can’t really see it on this one. It looks fantastic in black, though. And of course turquoise.

GM had it together in the seat department back in the day for sure. Ford did too imo. My grandfather had an ‘86 Crown Vic that was probably my fav as far as seats go. They went all the way across like a bench but they were split so each could be moved individually. It was like sitting on a nicely broke in couch.

That’s exactly how the Olds felt. It was the car I looked at before this one. Same price, but nowhere near as clean. The headliner was sagging, the body was dented, the lights were cracked, but damn if it didn’t drive beautifully.

Yeah it could be beat to hell and still drive great. That poor Crown Vic had the partial vinyl roof and was peeled all to hell, leaked oil like most old Fords do, also had a saggy headliner, and some other little issues, but it drove just fine. I’d still drive it of it was still around.

Wow, that color. I could see a Porsche 911 in that color.

I could see a naysaying Porsche dealer cringing at the choice but then being proved wrong when the car comes.

Love that squinty eyed GP! A set of GTP flares and Baskets would really set that thing off. Or just maintain. Early W body coupes are getting scarce.

My mom had one of these, a white ‘93 w/ 3800. I got my first speeding ticket in it (77 in a 50). I’ve also had it up to much higher speeds than that...but that was a long time ago.

I used to have a 91' STE back in the day. Worst car I’ve even had IMO but the ride and interior was pretty nice.

They seem to be. It always makes me laugh how GM managed to stretch the W-body all the way up to the 2012 (I think) Impala.
